Hey Joe,
Yes it has been a long time. I really don't get here often. Wish I did.
Anyway, your wife's sleep problem sounds alot like mine. My Dr. is convinced its stress. I tried the same with taking a sublingual melatonin. And yeah, it kicked in about an hour later. I think I have become accustomed to the Remeron which my doctor says happens, just need to increase the dose. Uh, no way! I can't afford to eat more than I already am.
In the way of Libido, I have increased my Arginine intake. Up to 4g. (You might want to suggest it to your wife. ) That along with some Ginkgo to improve circulation has helped a bit.
Your wife is a lucky gal. You are very in tune with her.
Well, Remeron, has finally kicked in so I am off to bed. Take care.

Hi Nanette,
I don't know if you remember me. It has been a really long time since i posted. Anyway, I have been having trouble staying asleep lately. I fall asleep okay but wake up and have trouble getting back. melatonin doesn't seem to help. What is remeron? Is it prescription?
Thanks,
Colleen

Hi Colleen, Of course I remember you. Other than the sleep problem how are you feeling now? Please email if you like. Yeah, Wen is right. Remeron is an RX. My Dr. is convinced it will help me. He thinks after about a year on it I may feel better and be able to go off it. It has done horrible things to my libido. though Have you tried GABA for sleep? Gotta start slowly with that one and more is not always better either. And maybe someone else (perhaps Fawn) will jump in on that one. It does help sleep a bit and mood too. So email me girl. Hugs

I just started with Gaba - for my husband - and BOY it went over like a lead balloon.
Guess I started him too high too fast - he ended up with panic attacks!
I've been taking it too, and haven't noticed any difference with anything yet.
Supposedly it's good for high blood pressure, but my husband won't take it anymore, so I don't know for sure.

Totally new to me, so I looked it up.
I don't know anything about it - I DO use pregnenolone for mood (my memory is still pretty okay), though.

My naturopath who I have been seeing since birth stresses that the one thing I should never ever touch is MSG!!! Also in this chemical family is aspartame (no calorie sweetener) otherwise known as nutrasweet, splenda, sweet n' low ect. Anyhow, if L-Glutamine is in the same family as stated aboved I would absolutly steer clear of taking it o a regular basis! My docter's a smart guy.

Hi:
I'm 33 years old and started taking Alesse six weeks ago and definitely noticed boob growth.
Two weeks ago I added saw palmetto tincture, damiana tincture and water soaked 24 hrs in fenugreek seeds.
I started spotting and boobs shrunk. One is definitely interfering with the other.
Should I wait it out?
Get a higher estrogen pill?
Drop one or all of the tinctures?
Thanks! This forum is terrific. I'm glad you're out there.

Wenonae... I am a bit confused you stated
"Just wanted to start this thread as we've had some AWESOME action going on in the medical section. Seems like everything points to that to grow boobies, one needs IGF-1 (made from HGH in liver) and estrogen in good levels, lower progesterone, high prolactin (increased by massages), and lower dopamine "
I agree with needing IGF and estrogen adn prolactin but why would we want lower progesterone levels. Is it that those conditions mimic puberty?
Are you suggesting low dopamine levels because of dopamines inhibitory effects on prolactin? What about increasing seratonin levels by taking peak X free! 5 HTP from a reputable source.

wsdm - Wen doesn't seem to come here anymore, so I'll answer on her behalf.
Progesterone naturally inhibits the proliferative stage of breast growth as an estrogen agonist. In adult women there is a cycle of proliferation and atrophy that is controlled by the alteration of estrogen and progesterone during the menstrual cycle.
During puberty, progesterone levels are normally lower for longer periods, as regular ovulation often does not occur until up to two years after menarche. And as we know, this is the time of the greatest breast tissue growth.
Increasing seratonin does not affect dopamine. Dopamine and seratonin are not alternating neurochemicals and they control different things. To reduce dopamine, you need a dopagenic agonist, which would include: kava kava, alcohol and the prescription medication zyban (aka wellbutrin).
