Hey everyone -
Sorry I've been out of touch for a while, but have been up to my eyeballs with work, kids, my Cub Scout pack and a sick - well, temporarily disabled - hubby! (A part of the house fell on him about 10 days ago!)
Just wanted to pass on to everyone - as we are all "internet saavy" - if any of you do any of your holiday shopping online, go through a website called "Buy for Charity" the subscribed merchants will donate a portion of your purchases to charities nationwide.
These are BIG stores too - Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Sears, Sony, Circuit City, Best Buy, Dell, CompUSA, Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, PetSmart, KBToys, Office Depot, Office Max, ToysRUs, Lens Express, Hickory Farms, Eddie Bauer, etc. etc, etc - about 350 different online stores. Even eBay (new member registrations).
So, don't let the good will go to waste - if you buy ANYTHING online EVER - either for yourself or your place of business or your organizations, please check with Buy for Charity.com first to see if what you need can be bought through the program.
(And if you want to designate "Cub Scout Pack 189" as your charity - that's cool too! They are listed on the "Childrens & Youth Causes" page. The pack has a lot of underprivilaged boys that can't afford dues, uniforms, or camping equipment and field trips fees.)
Or pick another charity - doesn't matter - it doesn't cost us anything and it may help someone out.
Thanks for your attention -
Be back active shortly (I hope)!
