This is the first time I have ever heard about hearing that exercise and BE don't mix.
Could someone expand on this a little more, please? I run about a mile every day, and do some crunches at night. So I'm wondering if this could effect my growth.

Hi Shadow, To grow boobs you need fat. Isn't that gross!;D But it is true....breast tissue is mainly fat, with glands and ducts. So...that's the reason you hear Growin' Boobies and exercise don't mix. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But...grow the boobies, then return to your regimen (yeah, easier said than done, huh). Bust of Luck

Fawn recommends body fat of at least 20%...22% being ideal. More is gravy..but yucky.

I dunno when - I have more than 22% and I've been given orders not to lose ANY more from certain areas! (and not just the boobs either). I am standing neutral on the "what's a good bodyfat level" issue, since everything I know is wrong - or so I've been told. Ahem. (I don't even KNOW if that made sense). Aerobic exercise and BE don't mix because aerobics burn fat and the one area the body is willing to lose fat from is the breasts. There is a long, scientific explanation for this involving neurochemical receptors and adrenal function and endocrine function, but if you don't mind, I won't go into that right now. Suffice it to say is: Unless nursing, breast fat is not considered a necessity by the body. Because of this, breast fat is designed in such a way as to be burned for fuel before lower body fat (buttocks & thighs). Age & other factors will determine whether abdominial fat is burned first. Aerobics burn fat. MUCH care and a lot of expensive products and obsessive care can reduce the amount of breast fat lost and increase the amount of lower body fat lost. However, the easiest thing to do is reduce aerobic exercise. Resistance exercise is okay. Reduced aerobic exercise is okay (30 minutes or less), depending on other factors. HOWEVER - Momi set up the title, and she's prejudiced against exercise to begin with! Some exercise is good and many of us continue to do so without too much trouble with the BE thing. HOWEVER - if you are very, very lean, ie. BELOW 22%, you may want to forstall the aerobics and switch to something more weight or pilates oriented. A mile isn't that much if you're doing it in under 20 minutes and the crunches are fine too. Personally, I like to exercise but don't run unless something is chasing me. Fawn
