There was a study done by a scientist that proved he can tell how good you are a sports just by looking at your fingers. He claimed that he could tell if you were testosterone dominant just by looking at your index and ring finger. If your ring finger is longer than your index finger then you are testosterone dominant and ultimately better at sports. He even got 5 men and measured their fingers and was able to tell where they would come in a race numbering from 1st to 5th position. When the men raced they came in exactly where the scientist said they would. So in essence a person with an index finger shorter than the ring finger will have had more testosterone while in the womb, and a person with an index finger longer than the ring finger will have had more estrogen see www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2004-10/bis-aft102004.phpSo I thought I would be testosterone dominant cause I am quite hairy, into sports, like maths and science subjects but when i measured my fingers they were normal for a woman (equal lengths). So that didn't tell me much. Anyway I took the sex ID test and I ended up to be 50% male dominant (more SP ). What would be interesting to know if anyone here believes that they are testosterone dominant and why and the scores in this test. Also state what your finger ratio is (it will be clear when you do the test) Mine is 1. Testosterone www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sex/articles/testosterone.shtmlTake the sex ID test www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sex/add_user.shtmlZZ

ZZ, Loved the site! Turns out that I've a 50-50 brain, both male and female. The finger ratio was 1.01 on one hand and .97 I think, on the other.

OK that does not make sense. Are you sure you done your measurements correctly ladies? The average ratio for men is 0.982 and women is 0.991!!! It is thought that your ratio is governed by the amount of testosterone you were exposed to in your mother's womb. The ratio of the length of your index finger to the length of your ring finger is set for life by as early as three months after conception. Also studies have also found that women with lots of brothers generally have more masculine finger ratios. Jewels/Joyce - have you got lots of brothers? were you good at sports. You better up your SP cause you seem to have alot of testosterone 0.93 ??

Wow! I actually have LOW testosterone! (I think)
I'm horrible at sports aside from running, swimming, and weight lifting (which aren't even really sports...) I don't have ANY brothers but have 2 sisters... I have almost no facial hair or arm hair, and my leg hair is thin but dark (like my hair) I also do not gain muscle easily, it took a lot of protein shakes and hard work to failure to get where I am
...thats really strange...so I have high testosterone?? *is confused*

WAIT! I know what happened!
...
I feel dumb.
Okay, you know how when they asked you to measure your find in mm? Well on my ruler my fingers were 7.5 and 8 mm, but the smallest number to chose on the website was 10mm which confused me. But I thought since it was a ratio I could just double them and it'd give me the same results. So put in 15 and 16... (it made sense to me in my head at the time...) Someone tell me what I did wrong...

joyce, Multiply by 10. That should give you a better ratio.

When multiplied by ten it only becomes .9375, not much of a change...lol.

I measured in centimetres so i times it by 10. I used to be really good at sports, i used to run for my county,cross-country, sprints... a bit of an all rounder really. I have one older brother. I also don't have any facial, arm hair etc, my leg hair is very fine & fair so you can hardly see it. Joyce - did you measure in centimetres like i did? If you did then times it by 10. To have 7.5 & 8mm finger measurements are impossible, cos you wouldn't have any fingers if you did. Infact your measurements if i remember are exactly the same as mine.
