I've been trying to establish a BE regime of Fenugreek, RC, SP pills as well as daily massages with Fenugreek/RC/SP extracts, however, I haven't been able to maintain the regime and keep stopping because fenugreek makes me incredibly cranky and whiney and depressed. I feel really lousy about myself and anything can send me into crying fit.
Is there anything I can take to counter these depressive side effects of fenugreek? I think Fenugreek has already worked a little on me, and really want to continue, but the depression it causes just isn't worth it. Help!
BTW, I never take more than 2000mg of Fenugreek a day.
Thanks Fawn and Mansi for your suggestions and advice! Will try increasing RC and eating more frequently! Don't have any fennel at the moment, so can't switch to fennel, but will keep that in mind for my next order...
Actually I have one more question about Red Clover that I wish to clarify:
I kind of remember that Red Clover adds estrogen and decreases progesterone, which is why it is recommended for BE as high estrogen, low progesterone seems to be optimal for BE. Am i right in this understanding of Red Clover?
If this is the case, how is it that Red Clover reduces the mood swing effect of fenugreek/estrogen? If it reduces progesterone, wouldn't it worsen the depression/mood swings?
